Su-vastika has unveiled its innovative 100 KW Lithium Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), a robust alternative to traditional diesel generators in a significant move towards sustainable energy solutions. This breakthrough in power backup technology not only addresses the critical environmental issues posed by diesel generators but also marks a new era in operational efficiency.

Recently, Sun Food Tech Plant integrated a 70 KVA Lithium Inverter with 100 KW Lithium battery bank. Su-vastika Lithium battery ESS, replacing their 125 KVA diesel generator, a major pollutant subject to regulatory scrutiny. Dinesh Sharm, Head of Sun Food Tech Plant, shared his insights on the transition: “Our shift to Lithium ESS has been transformative, leading to an uninterrupted power supply and reducing our need for manual intervention and maintenance. This change aligns with our commitment to environmental responsibility and operational efficiency.” The raw material being wasted during the switching between Grid and Diesel Generators cost was substantial. As the cost of food colors per kilogram is quite high. So the recovery of cost in terms of Diesel and maintenance cost of generator along with the raw material wastage cost and the machinery failure during the breakdown of power has also reduced.

Its lifespan extends up to 50 years, with the battery itself lasting between 7 to 10 years, far outliving traditional diesel generators.

The integration of solar charging capabilities further enhances the BESS’s cost-effectiveness, with potential system cost recovery in just 2 to 3 years. The use of solar panels reduces the cost of power generation dramatically, and IoT-based monitoring ensures ease of maintenance and system reliability.

Cost analysis reveals that the 100 KW Lithium BESS is more economical than a conventional 125 KVA diesel generator in terms of initial investment and long-term operational costs, making it a clear winner for sustainable, efficient power backup solutions.
