Musk announces an audio and video call feature
The Twitter Tycoon has been using the microblogging site to share his viewpoint since last October when he bought Twitter for an estimated $44 billion. Elon Musk has announced that X (formerly Twitter) will soon be launching an audio and video call feature. He has also specified that the new feature will be compatible with Android, iOS, PC, and Mac.
Musk said that once launched and updated, the feature would allow audio and video calls to be made without a phone number. Taking to X, Musk wrote, “Video and audio calls are coming to X; it works on iOS, Android, Mac, and PC; no phone number is needed; X is the effective global address book. That set of factors is unique,”
Twitter Corporation ceased to exist as a separate company as a result of its merger with X Corp. this April. In late July, Twitter’s logo was changed from a bluebird to a black-and-white X logo. While introducing the new logo, Musk specified that the new logo symbolized “the imperfections in us all that make us unique.”
