A new online course is hitting cyberspace soon to help women build their confidence, competence, and credibility – both personally and professionally. SpeakEasy challenges women to overcome their fear of public speaking, craft presentations that inspire and compel, and deliver them persuasively. All this is done in the comfort and privacy of their own home, at their own pace.
Women learn how the communication styles of men and women differ and impact their “likeability”. In addition, women identify nine speech patterns that erode their credibility and undermine their confidence. Much emphasis is placed on overcoming these negative habits and as a result, building credibility.
Through SpeakEasy, women chart their progress on the journey to credibility by using a self-assessment as they finish each module. They also reflect upon their learning through journaling. SpeakEasy clients are fully equipped to respond respectfully to difficult audience members and prevent disruptive behaviors from recurring. They learn to anticipate and prevent logistical and technological pitfalls while planning their presentation. Women emerge from the course fully prepared to make dynamic presentations in both traditional and virtual venues.
The course has multiple levels of support to choose from – a FaceBook community group, group coaching, and individual coaching, that clients select based upon their individual needs and goals.
In additional to mastering public speaking, women also complete a bonus mini-course entitled: “What to Say When You Don’t Know What to Say”. In this course women learn the secret skill of crafting the perfect response in the most difficult of situations. Thus, they build credibility and confidence on a personal level as well as in the professional realm.
