CARY – Google’s CEO Sundar Pichai is scheduled to testify in Epic Games’ antitrust case on Tuesday – and he may do so in person.
Tech news site The Verge reported Thursday that Pichai may testify in person since Google requested a podium. The federal judge in the case granted the request, the news site said.
“Epic plans to call Pichai as a witness as it makes its case alleging that Google Play is an unlawful monopoly,” The Verge noted.
.”[L]ast month, when he testified in US v. Google, Pichai stood behind a podium instead of sitting because of apparent back issues,” the website said.
The Epic-Google showdown opened on Monday.
