TAMPA, FLORIDA, USA – August 13, 2026 – Leone Asset Management, Inc. (OTC: LEON) announced today that its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, James Price, will travel to Sierra Leone for a series of strategic meetings focused on expanding the company’s interests in infrastructure, natural resources, agriculture, energy and economic development through its portfolio and operating interests in the country.
A central focus of the visit will be the continued development activities of JP Anderson Ltd., Leone Asset Management’s Sierra Leone-based subsidiary and development platform. Discussions are expected to include meetings with government officials, traditional leadership, financial institutions, engineering and professional advisory firms, community representatives and prospective strategic partners.
The visit comes as JP Anderson advances its GBO Master Development in Bo District and evaluates a significantly broader infrastructure strategy for Sierra Leone’s Southern Province.
From Individual Assets to an Integrated Development Platform
Leone Asset Management believes the opportunity in Sierra Leone extends beyond ownership of individual natural-resource and development assets.
Through JP Anderson, the company is evaluating an integrated Southern Province Economic Corridor & Infrastructure Initiative designed to connect energy, transportation, logistics, agriculture, natural resources, industrial development and international trade into a coordinated regional development strategy.
The emerging vision contemplates Bo and the GBO area as an inland economic hub, supported by logistics, agriculture, renewable energy, construction materials and industrial development.
From Bo, a proposed southern economic corridor would extend through Pujehun District toward the Atlantic coastline, where JP Anderson is evaluating the potential for future port, logistics and industrial infrastructure around Sulima.
The broader strategy also considers opportunities involving rail and road transportation, power generation, waste and resource recovery, water infrastructure, aviation, food processing, fisheries and the Blue Economy.
“We believe Sierra Leone represents a substantially larger opportunity for Leone Asset Management than the development of any single asset,” said James Price, Chairman and CEO of Leone Asset Management. “Through JP Anderson, we have spent years establishing a presence, relationships and an understanding of the country’s land, natural resources and development environment. We now have an opportunity to begin connecting those assets into a much broader economic-development platform.”
GBO as an Economic Anchor
JP Anderson’s activities in the GBO Chiefdom are expected to serve as an important foundation for the strategy.
The GBO Master Development contemplates an integrated development platform incorporating logistics, quarry and construction materials, renewable energy, agriculture and community-focused development, positioned near Bo City.
The company believes these businesses could ultimately support one another.
Locally produced construction materials can support infrastructure development. Renewable energy can support logistics, agriculture and industry. Agricultural production can create demand for processing, cold storage and transportation. Logistics infrastructure can connect producers to domestic and international markets.
“Our objective is to build economic ecosystems rather than isolated projects,” Price said. “When energy supports agriculture, agriculture creates freight, logistics connects production to markets, construction materials support infrastructure and transportation connects the interior to international trade, the economic impact of each individual investment can become significantly greater.”
Southern Province Economic Corridor
During the visit, Leone Asset Management and JP Anderson expect to introduce and discuss a longer-term vision for a coordinated Southern Province development program.
Potential areas under evaluation include:
- Southern renewable-energy infrastructure, including solar, biomass and resource-recovery opportunities;
- Bo/GBO logistics and industrial development;
- Agricultural production, aggregation, processing and cold-chain infrastructure;
- Quarry and construction-material production;
- A potential Bo–GBO–Pujehun–Sulima transportation corridor, including future rail development;
- Sulima port, logistics and industrial infrastructure;
- Bo regional aviation infrastructure;
- Water and irrigation systems;
- Waste management and resource recovery; and
- Bonthe/Sherbro Blue Economy opportunities, including fisheries, aquaculture, marine services and related development.
Each proposed project would be subject to individual feasibility studies, engineering, environmental review, financing, applicable regulatory requirements and government approvals.
Institutional Capital Strategy
A major objective of the upcoming meetings will be advancing the institutional framework necessary to transform development concepts into bankable infrastructure projects.
Leone Asset Management expects JP Anderson to work with engineering organizations, financial advisers, banking institutions, governance professionals and other strategic partners to establish the technical, financial and institutional foundation required for large-scale infrastructure development.
The company also intends to explore the potential mobilization of long-duration institutional capital, including investment relationships and channels associated with U.S. and U.K. for qualifying projects.
“Large-scale infrastructure requires much more than identifying an opportunity,” Price said. “It requires government cooperation, credible engineering, independent financial analysis, transparent governance and patient institutional capital. We believe JP Anderson can play an important role in bringing those elements together.”
Price continued:
“We are not approaching Sierra Leone simply looking for projects that require funding. Our strategy is to originate opportunities, establish the appropriate development and governance framework, bring credible technical and financial partners to the table and work toward mobilizing institutional capital for projects capable of producing sustainable long-term economic returns.”
Creating Long-Term Asset Value
For Leone Asset Management, the strategy represents an opportunity to participate in the development of infrastructure and operating businesses across multiple sectors while simultaneously supporting Sierra Leone’s economic development.
Rather than relying exclusively on the appreciation of natural-resource holdings, the company believes infrastructure and operating businesses can potentially create recurring revenue, long-duration assets and additional enterprise value.
Potential revenue-producing activities could eventually include logistics, energy, construction materials, agriculture, industrial services and other infrastructure-related operations.
At the same time, successful development of transportation, power and port infrastructure could increase the economic value and accessibility of other assets and businesses within the region.
“The opportunity we see is generational,” Price said. “Sierra Leone possesses tremendous agricultural potential, significant natural resources and direct access to the Atlantic. Connecting those advantages with modern energy, transportation, logistics and institutional capital could unlock opportunities that simply do not exist when those assets remain disconnected.”
Building Partnerships in Sierra Leone
During the visit, Price expects to continue discussions with government representatives, traditional leadership, landowners, communities, financial institutions, engineering organizations and professional advisers.
Leone Asset Management expects additional announcements to be made as specific agreements, partnerships, financing relationships and development milestones are formalized.
“Our approach is long term,” Price concluded. “We want the growth of our investments to occur alongside the growth of the communities and regions in which we operate. If we can successfully combine commercial returns with infrastructure, employment, food production, energy and economic opportunity, we believe we can create meaningful value for both Sierra Leone and Leone Asset Management.”
