VideoAmp Appoints Former Warner Bros. Discovery Executive Jon Steinlauf to Board of Directors

VideoAmp, a leading advertising technology company, announced the appointment of Jon Steinlauf, former Chief U.S. Advertising Sales Officer at Warner Bros. Discovery, to its Board of Directors. A proven operator and client-side leader, Steinlauf brings decades of experience driving transformation in media sales and advertising innovation to support VideoAmp’s mission of rearchitecting media measurement and currency for the modern TV landscape.

Recognized as one of the industry’s foremost advertising executives, Steinlauf has held senior leadership roles across major media companies. Most recently, he oversaw U.S. advertising sales for Warner Bros. Discovery’s robust portfolio, where he drove integrated revenue strategies across platforms, reaching more than 100 million weekly viewers and encompassing six of the top 10 cable networks. Prior to that, he served as Chief U.S. Ad Sales Officer for Discovery, Inc. and held a long tenure at Scripps Networks, where he was President of Advertising Sales and helped launch and monetize influential lifestyle brands including HGTV, Food Network, and Travel Channel. Steinlauf will be inducted into the Broadcasting & Cable Hall of Fame later this month, honoring his enduring contributions to the industry. During his time at Warner Bros. Discovery, he was directly involved in the launch of Stream X, powered by VideoAmp’s advanced advertising solution, which is already delivering stronger results for advertisers. His perspective as both a media veteran and a former client positions him uniquely to guide VideoAmp through its next phase of growth.

“Jon offers the rare combination of industry expertise and client experience, having worked directly with VideoAmp and seen firsthand the impact our solutions can deliver,” said Peter Liguori, Chief Executive Officer of VideoAmp. “His deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing advertisers and publishers will be instrumental as we continue to accelerate the industry’s shift toward more transparent, interoperable, and effective measurement.”

Steinlauf joins the Board at a time of significant momentum for VideoAmp. The company recently announced a multi-year deal with Warner Bros. Discovery, secured JIC accreditation, advanced its privacy forward data collaboration through AWS Clean Rooms, launched VXP to power cross-platform planning with publisher first-party data, and renewed and expanded partnerships with AMC Networks, A+E Networks, Fox, NBCUniversal, Paramount Global, and TelevisaUnivision. Having overseen ad sales and client partnerships at some of the largest media organizations, Steinlauf has lived these challenges firsthand, an experience that will be invaluable as VideoAmp scales its currency and drives the future of cross-platform advertising.
