If you haven’t experienced “Heal Through Art,” here’s your chance! Heal Through Art is a transformative initiative aimed at empowering individuals to overcome their past traumas and negative experiences through artistic expression. Spearheaded by Hala Maroc, owner of a local wellness shop called BADASS BOOTCAMP, this innovative project seeks to reshape participants’ narratives and perspectives, fostering a positive outlook on life.
“Heal Through Art” harnesses the healing power of creativity by inviting individuals to bring items symbolizing their trauma or negativity to be repurposed into pieces of art. Local artists and supporters collaborate with participants, guiding them through the artistic process and helping to channel their emotions into tangible works of art. Through this collaborative effort, participants are empowered to reclaim their stories and find healing through self-expression.
This groundbreaking project is made possible by a generous DCA Premier Grant from Staten Island Arts, with public funding from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs. With this support, “Heal Through Art” aims to reach individuals across the community, offering a safe and nurturing space for healing and growth.
“We believe that art has the power to heal and transform,” said Hala, “Through ‘Heal Through Art,’ we are honored to provide a platform for individuals to confront their past traumas and emerge stronger, with a renewed sense of hope and resilience.”
“Heal Through Art” represents a collaborative effort to promote healing, resilience, and empowerment within the community. As we embark on this journey of transformation, we invite individuals to join us in embracing the healing power of art.
