CHENGDU, China – September 1, 2026 – StarWin, a Chengdu-headquartered provider of AI-driven compound solutions across Communication, Navigation, Remote Sensing and Computing that is the official global distributor for the TianQi low-Earth-orbit satellite IoT constellation and holds qualifications from more than fifteen satellite operators worldwide, said its electronically steered antenna terminals supplied the field satellite links behind two 2026 crewed spaceflight broadcasts, one of which set a 210-day in-orbit endurance record. Its Ku-band and Ka-band ESA terminals, along with its FL30 flat-panel terminal, supported crews reporting live from a spacecraft’s return to Earth and, separately, from flight tests of a new-generation carrier rocket and crewed spacecraft.
StarWin’s terminals provide the ground satellite communication link that carries this broadcast transmission for terrestrial news media organizations reporting from the field; StarWin does not itself operate broadcast production or transmission infrastructure.
At 20:11 on May 29, 2026, the crew returned to Earth after 210 days in orbit, a national endurance record, exiting the capsule in good health. Live coverage was carried by two dedicated broadcast vehicles, one operated jointly by a satellite operator and a regional broadcaster and the other by StarWin’s technical team working alongside the broadcast network, whose chief director ran real-time on-site broadcast command from inside StarWin’s vehicle. The landing site sat in remote desert terrain with no terrestrial network available, and the shift from dusk into night added further difficulty for continuous transmission.
“Our Ku-band ESA50 and Ka-band ESA30 terminals held acquisition, tracking and pointing performance through a full dusk-to-night transition in open desert with no terrestrial backup, and the FL30 kept the signal uninterrupted from cross-country transport through landing and recovery,” said James Li, board chairman of StarWin
The second mission followed a low-altitude demonstration test of a new-generation carrier rocket and a maximum dynamic pressure escape flight test of its crewed spacecraft, building on earlier ignition and escape tests for the same program. StarWin deployed two technical specialists with two Ka-band ESA30 terminals, establishing a satellite link that reached an uplink of five Mbps and a stable downlink of 40 Mbps for high-definition video and image transmission, verifying the terminals’ performance across land, air and maritime scenarios and their compatibility with low, medium and geostationary orbits alike.
“Hitting a stable 40 Mbps downlink while running two ESA30 units side by side told us these terminals are ready for any single-site broadcast job our defense, oil and gas or emergency-response customers throw at them,” said Liu Tao, chief executive officer of StarWin.
Both missions relied on the multi-orbit, multi-module design StarWin builds into its wider terminal range, integrating phased arrays, antenna control units, satellite modems and up and down converters into a single outdoor unit with anti-jamming and precision timing built into the hardware. StarWin published the industry’s first white paper on electronically steered phased array terminal design and has separately demonstrated a satellite-communication quadruped robot. A video of the carrier-rocket support mission is available through StarWin’s mission coverage.
StarWin’s ESA and flat-panel terminals also serve oil and gas field sites, logistics and transportation fleet tracking, defense communications and emergency recovery after infrastructure damage. Its satellite IoT terminals, including the TQZD series, serve mining, fisheries, forestry and agriculture customers, while its GNSS anti-jamming CRPA antennas protect navigation on autonomous vehicles and UAVs. Its satcom robot dog, pairing a satellite terminal with a 5G base station on a quadruped platform, targets disaster-relief sites wheeled vehicles cannot reach, and its earth-station and flyaway antennas continue supporting teleport and broadcast customers.
