Mary Grace and Donny’s California Adventures is a fun and suspenseful mystery book that tells the story of the Grandma Gang and their adventures in solving a mystery involving bullying in Mary Grace’s classroom. Author Cathy Pepe shared her inspiration for the book, stating, “Donny, my brother with Down Syndrome, taught our family how special life is. He inspired me to write the Grandma Gang Mysteries, which are based on our family’s experiences. I hope readers will enjoy reading this book as much as I enjoyed writing it.”

Cathy is a retired lawyer, mother of two, and sister to three, including the real-life Donny. She attended law school after being at home with her two sons for 11 years and graduated summa cum laude. The Grandma Gang Mysteries are fiction, but many of the characters and incidents were inspired by living with Donny and the rest of Cathy’s family.

The book is published by Redwood Publishing, LLC, and has 196 pages.
