Runable Raises $21M Series A to help small businesses run, build and grow

Runable, an AI agent platform that helps users build, run and grow their business, announced a $21 million Series A co-led by Susquehanna Venture Capital and Nexus Venture Partners, along with continued participation from our first believers, Together Fund and Array VC.

Runable is a single platform that builds, runs and grows a business end to end, sharing the same context and memory across every task. It builds and ships real products on real infrastructure, websites, mobile and internal apps, pitch decks, market analysis, prospect lists, marketing videos with database, auth, payments and deployment included. Once live, it runs the business day to day and it grows the business by running paid campaigns across ChatGPT Ads, Meta, Google, LinkedIn and TikTok, creating and scheduling social content, running cold email, DMs and voice calls on a real phone number. It also tracks competitors and brand sentiment, and handles SEO, AEO and customer support.

The round comes after a launch that took Runable from $0 to $2 million ARR in three weeks and to 1.5 million users, served by a team of 15.

“Building software stopped being the hard part,” said Umesh Kumar, Co-Founder and CEO of Runable. “Nobody starts a business because they want a landing page. They start it because they want customers and revenue. Software creation got automated. Everything after it didn’t. That’s what Runable is for.”

“AI made starting a business nearly free. Running one is still the expensive part, and that is the gap Runable closes, with an agent that not only helps in building your website but actually help in getting your customers and retaining them, within a budget the owner sets. It gives a two person business the leverage of a much larger team. We are proud to co-lead the round and back Umesh and Saksham.”
— Sai Araveti, Investment Advisor to Susquehanna VC

“Most AI tools stop at output. Businesses need outcomes: customers, revenue, cash in the bank. That’s what Runable’s general purpose autonomous AI agent does: not just automate software creation but build, run and grow a business. We are thrilled to back Umesh and Saksham in their journey of helping millions of users across the globe run their businesses.”
— Jishnu Bhattacharjee, Partner, Nexus Venture Partners

“Durable value in AI will be created by helping users actually run their business, rather than just creating software. 95% of that revolves around customers, revenues and operations, which is exactly what Runable powers. We backed Umesh and Saksham at the idea stage and have doubled down within 12 months because they’ve proven this, with thousands of users who run their business on Runable.”
— Shubham Gupta, Co-Founder and General Partner, Together Fund

Runable’s 1.5 million users are mostly small business owners with usually two person teams running an agency, consultancy, cleaning company, etc. across US, UK, Japan and Brazil.

Runable will invest in three areas: expanding its growth capabilities with more channels, deeper measurement and campaign fixes the agent initiates on its own; scaling Runable Academy, a free module that helps owners learn how to build and grow their business and hiring across engineering, ML, product, growth and support.

“There are millions of small businesses outgunned by companies with bigger teams and bigger budgets. Not better ideas,” Kumar added. “We think that’s a tooling problem, and we think it’s solvable.”
