Model/Athlete, Andreea Dragoi wins Miss California US Nation 2022

Andreea is a model and a professional swimmer for the San Jose State University swim team. Andreea is also a titleholder of the Miss US Nation Pageant- which is a modeling pageant dedicated to building the careers of aspiring models. This past August 27th, 2022- representing the city of San Jose; Andreea won the state title of Miss California US Nation 2022. Being an athlete and model is certainly not easy and it takes a lot of discipline and focus. One of the challenges Andreea has had to overcome is criticism. She has been told by others that she isn’t “skinny enough” to model, her look is too common, or she must change something about herself to fit a certain role. However, she did not let this discourage her and she was able to overcome this obstacle by staying positive, focusing on herself, and doing what makes her happy.

This is why she enjoys being a role model and having a positive influence on others in the modeling industry. She recently made an appearance at a football game at San Jose State University to support and cheer the Spartans. Additionally, she was featured at Super Chic Los Angeles Fashion Week strutting the runway and is now perfecting her skills to be featured in other Fashion Weeks, the national pageant, and working with brands for sponsorships.

When we asked her what would be the best piece of advice she would give anyone that would like to get into the modeling industry; she told us that first you must believe in yourself, face your fears & most importantly of all never doubt yourself. “Not everyone’s route to success is the same, and everyone’s concept of success is unique”, says Andreea.
