Millburn Laser Center Receives New Accure Acne Laser Treatment

Millburn Laser Center, a leading dermatology clinic in New Jersey, has acquired the new Accure Laser System from Accure Acne, Inc. The Accure Laser uses energy-based technology to selectively target and neutralize sebaceous glands to reduce whiteheads, blackheads, and pimples. It is the second laser device to receive FDA approval for the treatment of mild to severe inflammatory acne.

“We’re excited to be among the first dermatologists to offer this revolutionary new approach to acne treatment. The Accure Laser provides patients with a relatively hassle-free solution that helps stop acne at its source, without needing medications or compliance with a strict care regimen. By offering Accure, Millburn Laser Center opens up new treatment possibilities for acne sufferers throughout New Jersey,” said Eric Siegel, MD, founder of Millburn Laser Center.

In the United States alone, acne vulgaris affects more than 50 million teens and adults annually, making acne one of the most treated skin conditions by healthcare providers. The Accure Laser System seeks to provide an attainable solution to people everywhere. In a facial acne trial in which patients received four Accure treatments monthly, researchers saw a 73% reduction in inflammatory lesion count after the first two sessions and a 90% reduction after 12 months. The treatment can be used in place of acne medications, which often carry a variety of side effects and drug interactions.

“The Accure Laser System clearance is tremendously exciting for dermatologists and their patients. This platform is much more than the 1726nm wavelength laser that selectively targets sebaceous glands; this innovative intellectual property brings a new level of sophistication to energy-based devices targeting acne,” commented Christopher Carlton, Accure Acne Co-Founder, Chairman, and CEO.

The Accure Laser System builds upon the unique selectivity of the 1726nm laser wavelength, adding proprietary technology to precisely control thermal gradient depth. This technology breakthrough is accomplished through a unique pulsing algorithm, integrated temperature monitoring, and precise automated control of the laser.
