Internet provider preps for fiber network launch in Dunn

DUNN – Residents in Dunn will soon have access to internet from a fiber network being created by CloudWyze, which has been expanding its North Carolina footprint.

CloudWyze expects the network to be online in the near future.

It already offers high-speed wireless internet in the community

“Fast and reliable internet access empowers everyone, including our children and future generations living in our great state,” Wyze founder and CEO Shaun Olsen said in statement. “A quality connection allows students to access resources from across the globe, arming them with expanded knowledge and networks that create a competitive advantage in life. High-speed internet creates greater possibilities for all of us.”

CloudWyze recently launched service in Erwin. Some $18 million in government grant funding awarded in 2022 is helping CloudWyze expand internet broadband to New Hanover, EdgecombeHarnettJohnstonMartin, and Nash counties.

The company has been working in partnership with Harnett County for three years.

Launched in 2002, CloudWyze is based in Wilmington.
