FIS Freestyle Ski and Snowboard World Championship 2023 in Georgia – presented by Silknet

TBILISI, GEORGIA – February 28, 2023 – The biggest event of the 2022/23 FIS World Cup season – and the biggest sporting event in Georgia’s history as a nation has started in Bakuriani.

The World Championship gathers the biggest stars in winter sports at the historical resort of Bakuriani.

Silknet, a subsidiary of Silk Road Group, will serve as the title sponsor for the event and host special guests in Bakuriani at the exclusive “Silknet Zone.”  Silk Hospitality, serving as an official partner, will also offer premier catering for its guests and visitors.

Johan Eliasch, the President of the International Ski Federation During his visit in Bakuriani said that he is impressed by the work done in Bakuriani and that Bakuriani has lots of potential to host more events as part of world championship.

The event, held in Bakurnia, Georgiai, is expected to welcome up to 700 athletes from 42 countries and 3,000 foreign guests. The championship, organized by the Georgian Ski Federation, takes place at two different venues, Bakuriani-Didveli and Kokhta-Mitarbi.
