assembled roving?

Fiberglass Multi-end roving is also called assembled roving. The expression “multi-end” indicates that the fiberglass strand has a specific number of splits or ends. In contrast, a direct roving or single-end roving has only one end – only one full strand.

What is the TEX of fiber?

Tex is a unit of measure for the linear mass density of fibers, yarns and thread and is defined as the mass in grams per 1000 meters. For example, fiberglass 2400 tex, means the weight of 1000 meters fiberglass roving is 2400 grams. Fiberglass 4000 tex, means the weight of 1000 meters fiberglass roving is 4000 grams

Fiberglass Spray-Up Roving

Fiberglass spray-up roving, also called gun roving, is a type of assembled roving that is specially designed for use in spray-up applications. It is generally used in the production of large parts, such as swimming pools, tanks etc. During production, spray-up roving will be chopped through the spray-gun and sprayed with a mixture of resin onto a mold, then the mixture will be cured to form a hard and strong composite material.

Fiberglass Panel Roving

Fiberglass panel roving is a type of assembled fiberglass roving that is used as reinforcement material for composites panels. It is recognized for its excellent mechanical properties and good wet-out properties, making it perfect for applications such as ceiling and wall panels, doors, other furniture.

It is a type of direct (single end) roving that is designed for pultrusion process, suitable for UPR resin, VE resin, Epoxy resin as well as PU resin system. Typical applications include grating, optical cable, PU window lineal, cable tray and other pultruded profiles. It has dedicated sizing and special silane system on fiber surface, also have fast wet-out, low fuzz, excellent corrosion resistance and high mechanical properties. Typical tex will be 2400,4800,9600tex.

It is a type of direct (single end) roving that is designed for filament winding process, good compatible with polyester, vinyl ester and epoxy resins. Typical application includes FRP pipes, high pressure pipes, CNG tank, storage tanks, vessels etc. It has dedicated sizing and special silane system on fiber surface, also have fast wet-out, low fuzz, excellent corrosion resistance and high mechanical properties. Typical tex will be 1200,2400,4800Tex.

ECR Fiberglass direct roving is a type of roving that is produced using an advanced manufacturing process that brings a higher level of fiber alignment and reduced fuzziness. ECR glass fiber, boasts alkali and acid resistance, good heat resistance, low electrical leakage, and superior mechanical strength compared to E-glass. It is also very environmentally friendly and used to create durable, transparent fiberglass-reinforced panels. Its composition comprises materials with alkali and acid resistance, high heat resistance, waterproof properties, and mechanical strength. It is generally used in applications where high strength, stiffness, and dimensional stability are required, such as in the production of wind turbine blades and aerospace components.

E-Glass Direct Roving for Long-Fiber Thermoplastics

It is a type of direct (single end) roving that is designed for thermoplastic reinforcement, the fiber can be easily spread out for better impregnation with thermoplastic during LFT-G production. The fiber surface is coated with special silane-based sizing, best compatibility with polypropylene. It has excellent processing with low fuzz. low cleanup & High Machine efficiencies and excellent impregnation & dispersion. Suitable for all LFT-D/G Processes as well as Pellets Manufacturing. Typical applications include automotive parts, electronics and electrical industries and sports.

ECR Fiberglass Direct Roving for Electrical Insulation

ECR fiberglass direct roving is a type of direct roving that is made for electrical insulation, also called electronic glass fiber, which are recognized for their xcellent electrical insulation properties, with fiber filament diameter less than 10μm, normally 5-9μm. It is generally used in the production of electrical components, such as insulators, transformers, and circuit boards. ECR-glass roving also used in other applications where high mechanical performance and durability are required.

Fiberglass Yarn

Fiberglass yarn is a type of fiberglass that is made by twisting together several strands of glass fibers. It is generally used in applications where high strength and heat resistance are required, such as in the production of insulation materials and electrical components, like fiberglass mesh, fiberglass fabric for electrical insulation

Fiberglass Assembled Roving for SMC/BMC

SMC (Sheet Molding Compound) roving is a type of assembled roving, typical tex are 2400/4800 etc. The filaments has special sizing treatment on fiber surface and have good compatible with polyester, vinyl ester and epoxy resins. The roving has excellent chopability and fiber distribution and can be rapidly wet-out during

Fiberglass Roving for Chopped Strand Mat

This is also assembled roving that has excellent chopability, and can be distributed homogeneously with binders in the manufacturing process of Chopped Strand Mat. The fibers has special surface treatment and have excellent compatibility with unsaturated polyester resin, epoxy and vinyl ester resins.

Fiberglass Texturized Yarn

Expanded yarn is a deformed yarn formed by the expansion, curling, and winding of one or more bundles of continuous fine yarn or untwisted coarse yarn through high-pressure airflow. It has the advantages of tex stability and uniform expansion and can replace traditional asbestos products. Mainly used for weaving decorative fabrics and industrial fabrics for special purposes.

AR Fiberglass roving is a type of assembled roving that has high Zirconium content, thus resulted in excellent alkali resistance. The roving also has great chopability and is designed to be chopped and mix in concrete and all hydraulic mortars. The chopped strand can be used at low addition level to prevent cracking & improve the performance of concrete, flooring, renders or other special mortar mixes. They incorporate easily into mixes creating a tridimensional homogeneous network of reinforcement in the matrix. It is also invisible on the finished surface.

the compound manufacturing process. And in the following process like compression molding using SMC, the fibers also have excellent mold flowing characteristics and can be distributed homogeneously, thus resulted in great laminate mechanical properties and class “A” surface in a range of applications, such as auto parts, truck body panels and grill opening panels etc.
