Marketing Technology News: MarTech Interview with Mark Listes, CEO @ Pendulum Intelligence
Retail e-commerce is increasingly operating like an endless relay race: as one major shopping moment winds down, forward-thinking sellers are already sprinting toward the next. Data released by e-commerce AI growth engine StoreClaw reveals that sellers are moving away from fragmented, manual workflows as they prepare for the Q4 shopping season.
StoreClaw’s data from the first two weeks of August shows ecommerce listing and copywriting activity declining as back-to-school launches wind down, while product selection activity more than doubled, compared with the prior two weeks in late July. At the same time, content creation and advertising activity increased more than threefold compared with late July, suggesting that sellers are moving to prepare for the holiday season much earlier than in the past.
“Retailers used to treat the holidays as a sprint that starts after Halloween. That’s not how it works anymore. It’s now a year-round shopping season,” said Steven Zhou, Co-Founder of Caelith AI, the company behind StoreClaw “Our research found that ad campaign activity among sellers jumped 236% in the first two weeks of August, months before Black Friday. More retailers are locking in ad budgets and cranking out creative to get ahead now while others are coming back from the summer.”

Four Shifts in Seller Behavior Heading Into Q4
StoreClaw’s seasonal data shows four things sellers are focusing on as they gear up for the holiday peak:
1. Product Selection Is Moving Earlier
StoreClaw’s Effortless Product Selection scores potential products by analyzing customer demand, pain points, pricing gaps and competition. By checking Amazon Brand Analytics (ABA) search rank, along with marketplace signals such as review velocity, StoreClaw helps sellers spot real opportunities and entry points.

2. Content Creation: Sellers Want “One-Click Visuals” Most
StoreClaw’s listing generator reads competitor reviews, especially customer complaints, to write listings that directly address buyer hesitations. It writes copy for how shoppers actually search and discover products on Amazon now, including Alexa for Shopping (formerly Rufus) and COSMO, and checks requirements and character limits automatically. Alongside copy, it generates product images and other visual assets to help sellers launch and scale creative faster.
3. Sellers Are Consolidating More of Their Workflows
StoreClaw connects natively with dozens of major marketplaces and storefronts, including Amazon, Shopify, TikTok Shop, Genstore, eBay, WooCommerce, etc., with additional connections across social, content and community platforms. Its more than 30 pre-built AI Skills support recurring workflows, such as competitor monitoring, pricing analysis and other operational tasks. Rather than moving between multiple browser tabs and disconnected tools, more StoreClaw users are connecting their commerce channels and bringing recurring tasks into a single workflow.
4. Ad Intelligence: Making Every Ad Dollar Count
StoreClaw’s “Negate the Bleeders” feature scans 30 days of ad data to find wasted budget. It automatically spots keywords spending money with zero sales and high-click terms that don’t convert, building instant negative keyword lists and adjusting bids based on real value. StoreClaw also lays out a plan for moving proven search terms into exact-match campaigns, from testing to full scale, in a cleaner workflow.
From Insights to Action: StoreClaw’s Edge in the Q4 Race
Sellers are moving straight from the tail end of the back-to-school season into Q4 prep. This is the moment StoreClaw is built for.
As Steven noted: “Historically, enterprise retailers win Q3 and Q4 because they out-resource everyone else on speed and execution. A small seller can have a far superior product, but if they are manually updating inventory, tweaking prices product-by-product, or taking days to syndicate listings across platforms, they’re too far behind. AI-driven operation is no longer optional, for it is the key to achieving the speed required to stand out during peak surges.”
Launched in May 2026, StoreClaw combines marketplace intelligence, AI-powered workflows and multi-channel connections in one place. It tracks competitor pricing promotions, coupons, reviews and keyword changes and pulls in data from SellerSprite, Sif and Sorftime. Sellers use it to research products, create content, manage advertising and coordinate recurring tasks without switching tools. That’s how growing brands get the speed of a much bigger retailer heading into the holiday season.
