Crebos Strengthens Fintech Transformation Leadership with Appointment of Michael Roos as Senior Partner

Amsterdam – November 20, 2025 – Crebos | Software, Design, AI & Automation, today announced the appointment of Michael Roos as Senior Partner, strengthening the company’s mission to modernize payment systems and operational infrastructure in the financial services sector through technology acceleration, seamless orchestration, plug-and-play integration, and back office automation.

Michael Roos brings over 20 years of leadership in financial technology, with senior roles at European Merchant Services, Worldline, and GlobalCollect (Ingenico Group), where he led complex operational transformations and managed critical back-office systems supporting thousands of merchants and processing millions of transactions. His expertise includes driving user experience (UX) optimization across payment product lifecycles.

“Michael’s appointment marks a key milestone for Crebos,” said Maurice Weber. “His unique blend of corporate fintech expertise and hands-on scaleup advisory experience equips our clients with unmatched insights into overcoming technical legacy and operational bottlenecks while accelerating innovation velocity through plug-and-play integration and seamless orchestration.”

As Senior Partner, Michael will lead strategic client engagements focused on payment product modernization, payment terminal software management, back office automation, and scalable technology architectures. He will also drive thought leadership on industry challenges related to technical debt, integration speed, UX optimization, and modern user experiences, expanding Crebos’s influence across the European fintech ecosystem.

Michael’s career embodies the modernization journey fintech leaders face today. At Worldline, he led the design and migration to next-generation transaction processing systems while directing global operations teams. At European Merchant Services, he oversaw finance, risk, and compliance functions for a major payment processor serving more than 40,000 SME and corporate clients.

Most recently, as a Strategic CFO Advisor to fintech scaleups, Michael has seen how outdated systems and fragmented processes trap organizations, limiting their ability to scale and leverage modern technologies effectively.

“Having managed the operational backbone of major payment processors, I understand how technical legacy can both support and constrain FinTech growth,” said Michael Roos. “Crebos’s focus on accelerating product innovation, automating back office operations, and delivering seamless orchestration addresses critical friction points that block scalability and market velocity, while embracing plug-and-play integration and UX optimization to future-proof payment terminal software management.”

This appointment aligns with Crebos’s strategic repositioning toward enabling FinTech leaders to modernize legacy technology stacks, streamline back office workflows, accelerate time-to-market with faster integrations, and enhance user experience across the payment ecosystem.
