MontyCloud, a Seattle-based provider of no-code CloudOps platforms, has forged a strategic collaboration agreement with Amazon Web Services to empower managed service providers with AI-driven tools for scaling cloud operations. Announced on January 20, 2026, the deal aims to simplify multi-account AWS environments, reduce manual efforts, and unlock recurring revenue streams for MSPs amid surging cloud adoption.

The agreement, detailed in a press release distributed via Bluffton Today, positions MontyCloud’s DAY2 platform as a key enabler. It integrates AI-powered assessments, governance, and remediation workflows tailored for AWS Well-Architected Framework Reviews and Foundational Technical Reviews. “MSPs are becoming the operating backbone of the cloud, but the traditional, manual approach to CloudOps doesn’t scale,” said Walter Rogers, CEO of MontyCloud.

Strategic Alignment in Cloud Complexity

MSPs now handle critical IT operations for nine in 10 organizations, facing escalating demands from multi-account setups. MontyCloud combines its automation with AWS’s infrastructure to standardize operations, continuously optimize environments, and accelerate onboarding. The collaboration promises investments in partner enablement, targeting faster time-to-value and new revenue models beyond one-off projects, as echoed across reports in EIN Presswire and National Law Review.

Matt Yanchyshyn, Vice President of AWS Marketplace and Partner Services, highlighted the synergy: “MSPs are essential to helping customers realize value from AWS at scale. By working with MontyCloud, we’re enabling Partners to automate core CloudOps workflows, improve consistency, and focus on delivering higher-value outcomes for customers.” This builds on MontyCloud’s established AWS ties, including competencies in Cloud Operations and Built-In.

nClouds, an early adopter MSP, reported immediate gains. “As an MSP, our success depends on delivering consistent cloud operations at scale,” said Kelly Chamberlain, CEO of nClouds. “MontyCloud helps us operationalize AWS best practices through automation, enabling our teams to move faster and deliver more value as customer environments grow.”

MontyCloud’s Platform Foundations

Founded in 2018, MontyCloud targets MSPs and enterprises with its DAY2 platform, offering centralized visibility, no-code automation, and AI insights for tasks like cost optimization, compliance, and migrations. The platform recently introduced MontyCloud AI and the CloudOps Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server, enabling agentic AI for complex workflows, as outlined on MontyCloud’s site and in its blog.

MontyCloud holds AWS Partner Advisory Board membership for four years, was named a Top 10 Innovative Startup by AWS, Top 5 Cloud Management Platform by SiliconANGLE, and 2024 AWS Well-Architected AMER Top Impact Partner. It supported 14 partners at AWS re:Invent 2025 awards. Recent accolades include Rackspace Technology’s 2025 AWS Collaboration Partner of the Year for their joint work, per Rackspace IR, yielding 60% faster deployments and 45% efficiency gains for clients.

In May 2025, MontyCloud partnered with Pax8, expanding to 40,000 MSPs via its marketplace for SMB-focused automation, according to MarTech360. Oguo Atuanya, Pax8’s Corporate VP of Vendor Experience, noted: “MontyCloud offers exactly that. By bringing their powerful CloudOps platform to our robust Marketplace, we’re helping partners streamline operations and drive long-term growth.”

Funding Fuels Expansion

Just a week prior, on January 13, 2026, MontyCloud raised Series B funding led by Riverside Acceleration Capital, fueling autonomous CloudOps advancements and global go-to-market, as reported by EIN Presswire and GeekWire. Cloud spend under management surged over 400% in two years, with recurring revenue nearly tripling.

The AWS SCA elevates MontyCloud’s role in transforming manual CloudOps into scalable services. Its AWS Practice Builder program aids MSPs with prescriptive guidance and integrations for assessments and tagging, detailed in MontyCloud’s blog. Features like automated resource tagging for AWS Migration Acceleration Program reduce errors and costs.

AWS’s broader partner push, including SMB Acceleration and managed services incentives projecting MSPs to control 65% of public cloud spend by 2026 per IDC and Forrester, aligns perfectly, from AWS APN Blog.

AI Innovations at the Core

MontyCloud AI powers CloudOps Copilot and MCP Server for interactive agents handling queries like cost anomalies or health alerts across tenants. Integrated with AWS Bedrock and Built-In, it automates audits via CloudTrail Lake, as per AWS case study. “With AWS Built-in driving this integration, we’ve added yet another simplification to our platform,” noted a MontyCloud executive.

Research like the MOYA framework with IIIT Hyderabad advances multi-agent orchestration for safe, deterministic AI in CloudOps, from MontyCloud’s announcement. DarcyIQ integration exemplifies extensibility, enabling natural language ops like JIRA ticketing for optimizations estimating $24,500 monthly savings.

This SCA cements MontyCloud’s trajectory, blending proven automations with cutting-edge AI to position MSPs as strategic cloud operators in an era of relentless complexity and growth.
